He is active in professional associations on the state & national level, has earned the Certified Auctioneers Institute & Benefit Auction Specialist designations from National Auctioneers Association, all to fulfill his purpose of “Funding a better World”.
With less than two hundred auctioneers in the country holding this designation, it signifies specific training for Fundraising and dedication to our craft of helping organizations raise money.
Much like CPA for accountants, CAI is a professional certification for auctioneers attained through a three year program with the NAA and maintained with regular CE hours.

Not only do we attend various state auctioneer association conferences to stay current on fundraising practices, we are asked to present at auctioneer conferences to share our knowledge. We love to help others be more effective in their fundraising efforts. Sessions have been presented in Colorado, Florida, Oklahoma, Missouri, and at NAA gatherings in San Diego & New Orleans.
Yes we are often dressed up in a bow tie for those formal events, but with a background in agriculture as an Agricultural Education Instructor, we can also put on the boots and hat for those western themed events. Schools and Educational organizations also have a special place in our hearts.
Each of us at WBAS have competed multiple times on the competitive auctioneering stage at state and regional events and in both Auctioneer and Ringman capacities. This is done in large part to sharpen our skills and become better representatives for the organizations we serve as fundraising professionals.
The IAC or International Auctioneers Championship, takes place each year at the NAA Conf & Show and provides a stage to highlight some of the top auctioneers in the country as they compete for this title. Shown here in Minneapolis Minnesota!
